Floor burning
No chance for persistent threats
Floors are often a source of contamination in a poultry house. Especially in stables with floor housing systems for poultry like broiler and turkey houses. Temperature and radiation are the only methods which allow you to go nearly everywhere. Van Eck Bedrijfshygiëne employs so-called ‘floor burning’. At a temperature of 750°C the machine will drive over the floor with the contact with the concrete being mere seconds. The temperature in the top layer of the floor will reach up to 300-400°C without causing any damage. The temperature also penetrates in porous floors. An extra possibility is the ‘burning’ of walls up to approximately one metre height.
